There are four classes of members:
1. General Members: Ex-students of RIPT Kolkata who have completed their course and passed the final examination. Annual subscription is required for voting eligibility.
2. Life Members: General members who pay a lump sum life membership fee. They have voting rights.
3. Honorary Members: Individuals who contribute significantly to Printing and Graphic Art education in India. They do not have voting rights.
4. Associate Members: Final-year students of RIPT Kolkata who pay a nominal annual fee. They do not have voting rights.
Rights and Obligations of Members:
Members have the right to:
1. Elect and be elected in association elections.
2. Submit suggestions for discussion.
3. Inspect accounts and meeting proceedings.
4. Vote (except defaulting members).
Cessation of Membership:
Membership ceases upon resignation, insanity, insolvency, or conviction of offenses involving moral turpitude.
Executive Body Members of RIPTAA
The Executive Body consists of 18 members, including President, Vice Presidents, General Secretary, Joint Secretary, Assistant Secretaries, Treasurer, and other members. The term of office is two years. The President is elected by general members, while other office bearers are selected by the Executive Body.

The Regional Institute of Printing Technology Alumni Association was formed in the year 1986. Since then every student who graduates from this esteemed institution becomes an associate member of the association.
