The Department of Printing Technology, Regional Institute of Printing Technology (RIPT), Kolkata is organizing a 4-day online workshop on “Applications of AI in the Printing Industry” on 11, 12, 18, and 19 April 2026. This programme is designed to introduce participants to the use of AI in print workflows, including automation, quality control, defect detection, and predictive maintenance, with sessions delivered by experts from academia and industry. The workshop is ideal for professionals, students, and academicians looking to upgrade their skills in modern printing technologies. Registration opens on 1 March 2026, with an early bird fee of ₹1500 and a late fee of ₹2000.

In the last year’s AGM held on August 15,2024, Mr. Apratim Mukerji, General Secretary informed the members that three Special Funds would be created in RIPTAA Budget.
They are :-
1) Scholarship Fund for students,
2) Fund for visit of students to prominent Print Exhibitions, and most importantly,
3) Welfare Fund for RIPTAA members for emergency medical needs.
Decision Regarding Welfare fund
As per the decision of the Executive Body meeting, the following criteria will be strictly followed to determine the eligibility of RIPTAA members:
1. Continuous Membership: The member must have renewed their membership continuously for the last 3 years prior to applying for assistance.
2. No Reimbursement Facility: The member should not have a reimbursement facility from their company.
Assistance Details
– Maximum Amount: Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) per approved application.
These criteria will be applied to ensure that the Welfare Fund is utilized effectively to support eligible members in times of emergency medical needs.

RIPTAA brings together alumni, students, and industry professionals to encourage knowledge sharing, professional interaction, and long-term engagement with the printing and graphic technology community.
The Regional Institute of Printing Technology Alumni Association was formed in the year 1986. Since then every student who graduates from this esteemed institution becomes an associate member of the association.
