



















RIPTAA at PrintPack 2025
The 16th edition of PRINTPACK INDIA, was held from 1 – 5 Feb 2025, at India Expo Centre, Greater Noida, NCR Delhi. This PrintPack India saw 17 Halls covering 80,000 sq meter exhibition space, hosted over 600 exhibitors representing 84 countries from around the world, presenting state-of-the-art printing and packaging technology with a special emphasis on cost-efficiency and import substitution. Building on previous successes, the 2025 edition attracted a massive 1,41,101 visitors. The Indian Printing, Packaging, and Allied Machinery Manufacturers’ Association (IPAMA) has gone to great lengths to accommodate this unprecedented interest, including the reservation of two additional Hangars, to accommodate companies on the waiting list. Buses ran frequently from Noida Botanical Garden Metro station to the venue, ensuring convenient transportation for visitors. Additionally, IPAMA organised a series of seminars to engage the attendees as part of PRINTPACK India 2025. Organized by the Association for PRINT Technologies in collaboration with IPAMA, Delhi Printers Association (DPA), and WhatTheyThink.com, these seminars featured cutting-edge discussions on topics, such as, ‘The Current State of the Corrugated Packaging Market and Future Projections’, ‘Data Management for Print and Packaging’, ‘AI and the New Age of Creative Collaboration’, ‘Branding and Beyond’, ‘Exploring the Future of Digital Printing’, ‘Moulded Fiber Packaging’, ‘Packaging in the E-Commerce Era’, ‘Reducing Environmental Impact’ and ‘Sustainable Innovation in Printing and Packaging’.
National and international companies were present. Mention may be made of Acme Machinery (India), Acme Rolltech, Beautiful Advertising Agency, Bobst India, Canon India, Fujifilm India, Gew EC Ltd, Komori India, Konica Minolta Business Solutions India, Megabound (India), Monotech Systems, Westland Rubber, Xerox India, Zenith Rubber, Zhongke India, Ronald Web Offset, Huber Group India, Heidelberg India, Webtech Machineries, DIC India, Sona Paper, Pratham Technologies, Hp-Redington, UV Graphics, Vinsak India and numerous others.
They presented a wide variety of state-of-the-art technologies. Displayed were Auto platen Die Cutter, High Speed Folder Gluer; Digital Copiers; Multi-functional Printing Peripherals; Inkjet and Laser Printers; Graphic Arts and High-tech Optical devices; Arc and UV LED Curing Systems, Coating and Converting applications; Printing Presses and Printing equipment; Ceramic Anilox Rolls and Sleeves; Digital Printing; Printing Pre-Press and Software Solutions; Print & Packaging solutions; Wide & Large Format Printing, Inkjet Products; Scanning and 3D Printing; Post Press, Rigid Box Making equipment; Offset Printing Machines with the state-of-the-art technology; Carton Folder Gluer, Exercise Notebook Making, Automatic Ruling, Automatic Paper Cutting & Folding, Book Stitching & Corrugated Box Making Machines; Cobalt free Printing Inks; Safe Inks for Food Packaging; Press Chemicals; Textile & Paper Screen Printing inks; Web offset Printing and Paper Bag making machines, High precision Packaging Machineries, Printing Rollers and Roller Manufacturing Machines etc.
RIPTAA had its presence felt in the exhibition with a stall visited by a wide range of people representing Press Owners, Business Proprietors, general public, visiting RIPTAA members. Notable among them were Dr Rajendra Kumar Anayath, Representatives from DIC Noida, Webtech Machineries, Sona Papers, Vishal Scan, Assam Printer’s Association, Kapoor Imaging, Epson, Mr Arijit Chakraborty of Huber Group, Polyplex team,Shri Anand Srivastav of Mark Ad, Mr. Krasimir Bonchev of Polycraft Bulgaria, Mr. Ekramul Kabir from Premier Print, Kolkata, Shri Ashis Chakraborty of Transpacks Technologies, Dr. N Sharatchandra Singh, G C Member AIFMP, Lokenath Printers team, Mr Sukumar Pore, Mr Sumanta Chowdhury of DGM, Shri Puspendu Dey of Miracle Group, Shri Dipankar Samanta, CEO of DBS International, Mr. Prabodh Pattanaik, Dy Director of Odisha Govt. Press, Mr. Daniel Sangma (Life member of RIPTAA from Manipur) and many others.
For the visiting RIPTAA members, our stall was a meeting place for exchange of experience about this mega fair, their work experience in different fields of printing throughout India, their current positions in company and the help they can extend for RIPT pass-outs. The response was noteworthy as numerous enquiries are now received and students of RIPT are getting placements.
A group of five final year students of RIPT, Kolkata visited PrintPack 2025. Their expenses for visiting this mega event was partially sponsored by RIPTAA as part of its ‘Student Exposure’ commitment. They visited RIPTAA stall during their stay and tried to cover most of the halls containing hundreds of exhibits.
Mr Biswaranjan Nayak 1990 of Printtech Offset Bhubaneswar republished the winter issue 2024 and Mr. Sanjay Surekha of Vanshika Graphics formally inaugurated the new spring issue 2025 of PrintOut, the quarterly mouth piece of RIPTAA in front of numerous visiting publics and dignitaries. Both the issues were widely distributed among all the visitors to RIPTAA stall as well as among the other important exhibitors and visitors at PrintPack 2025.
Team RIPTAA visited hundreds of exhibitors during the five exhibition days at Print Pack 2025, like Technova, Konica Minolta, Fuji, Xerox, Canon, The Printers House, Toyo Ink Arets, UV Graphic Technologies, Vinsak, Zenith Rubber, Alpna Visual Packaging Aids, APL Machinery, Avery Dennison, BOBST, DGM Automation, Electromech Machinery, Epson, Print week, Heidelberg, Komori, Impel Services, Jay Engineering, Kodak, Pratham Technologies, Printers Club of India, Printers Supply, Provin Technos, HP Redington, Ronald Web Offset, Suba Solutions, Kwality Chemical, Mega bound, Minosha, Monotech, NBG Printographics, Nulith,to increase fellowship as well as to establish its presence. Prospective advertisers were contacted. New connections were made with interested companies for association with RIPTAA activities & programmes. Old bonds with friendly companies were rekindled to make sure that their support continues in future.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to IPAMA for providing us with all logistic support with the free stall area of 12 sq. meter at PrintPack 2025. Hopefully, we shall be present in PrintPack 17 in January 2027.
All in all, the visit of team RIPTAA to PrintPack 2025 is expected pay good dividends in near future.
RIPT being a regional college, RIPTAA comprises of Alumni from all states in the East and North East, who are spread across the country and even abroad. At present there are about 500 odd active members who attend our programmes regularly and another about 2000 floating members. They hold responsible positions in photography, printing, packaging, ink, paper, newspaper & multimedia companies and contribute to the development of the country.
The working of the Alumni association is governed by its constitution which mandates an Executive Body, consisting of sixteen working members, elected for two years. The election is held in the AGM held every year on 15 th August in Kolkata. The members of the EB and it’s President is elected from the regular members of RIPTAA. They conduct all the activities of RIPTAA throughout the two-year period along with publishing a quarterly mouthpiece ‘PrintOut’. It is a technical journal brought out highlighting technological updates, industry news, achievement, products of important brands and briefings of RIPTAA activities. All the activities of RIPTAA are well publicized through its Facebook Account, WhatsApp and website.
The executive body of RIPTAA comprises of the President, Vice President, the Secretary, Asst. Secretary, the Treasurer and 11 other members. Additionally, a member can also be co-opted if situation demands. For 2023-24 and 2024-25, the office bearers are Mr. Surendra B Dhote, President; Mr. Hillol Sinha, Vice-President; Mr. Apratim Mukherji, Secretary, Mr. Biplab Ghosh, Asst. Secretary and Mr. Tapas Roy, Treasurer. These official of RIPTAA along with other EB members constantly meet on regular basis at the present official address at Bharat Lithographing Company, Kolkata.
RIPTAA is also invited to mega printing and allied exhibitions held in various parts of the country. Some recent participations were in PAMEX at Mumbai, SCREENTEX India at Kolkata, Eastern PrintPack at Kolkata and PrintPack India at Noida. These involvements have made RIPTAA a household name among the forerunners in the industry and helped pursue the cause of its members. Visit of student groups from RIPT in these fares are also sponsored by RIPTAA to help them understand the latest trend in Printing and allied industry.

Last, but not the least, we are glad to announce that various benevolent activities of RIPTAA have been recognized by Government agencies and any donations made by any organization willing to support the activities of RIPTAA will henceforth attract tax exemption.
RIPTAA brings together alumni, students, and industry professionals to encourage knowledge sharing, professional interaction, and long-term engagement with the printing and graphic technology community.
The Regional Institute of Printing Technology Alumni Association was formed in the year 1986. Since then every student who graduates from this esteemed institution becomes an associate member of the association.
