RIPTAA Annual Summit 2026 & 38th Annual Get-Together

The Regional Institute of Printing Technology Alumni Association (RIPTAA), established in 1986, serves as a vibrant platform for RIPT alumni working across the printing industry. Our core objective is to exchange ideas, foster professional growth, and bridge the gap between the institute and the industry. Over the decades, RIPTAA has grown into one of India’s most active and impactful alumni bodies.

The Annual Get-Together of RIPTAA is held every year on 15th August, bringing together members from across India and abroad.


The Day at a Glance

The celebrations for RIPTAA Summit 2026 and the 38th Annual Get-Together were held on 15th August 2026 at P.C. Chandra Garden, Kolkata, with the participation of over 400 alumni.

The day commenced with the National Flag Hoisting by Shri Surendra B. Dhote, President, RIPTAA, followed by the Inauguration of a Photography Exhibition cum Contest. The main program then unfolded with the RIPTAA Summit 2026.The morning session was dedicated to knowledge sharing and technology, while the post-lunch session was reserved for the Annual General Meeting.


Technical Session Highlights

  • Keynote Address by Shri C. Ravindra Reddy, President, AIFMP. He spoke on AIFMP’s role in upgrading the printing industry, with special focus on skill development and industry-academia collaboration.
  • Presentation by Shri Arijit Chakraborty, GM – East, Hubergroup, followed by a video showcasing Hubergroup’s activities in India and globally.
  • Presentation by Shri Ganesh Prasad Chamola, TechNova Imaging Systems Pvt. Ltd. on the latest TechNova products and advancements in print technology.
  • Technical Seminar on “From Print Technology to Print Intelligence” by Shri Tushar Dhote, Chairman, PAMEX 2028. He discussed emerging trends in the printing and packaging industry and shared insights from his experience as the prime organizer of major exhibitions in the country.
  • Panel Discussion on “Challenges Facing the Printing Industry” featuring Shri C. Ravindra Reddy, Shri Tushar Dhote, Shri Surendra B. Dhote, and Shri Abdul Sajjad of Hubergroup. The session was moderated by Shri Gautam Seal, Member, Executive Body, RIPTAA. Key issues discussed included shortage of skilled manpower, gap between institutional curriculum and industry requirements, and concerns regarding remuneration.


Awards & Recognitions

  • Scholarships: The toppers of the 2025-26 final year from the Printing Technology, Multimedia, and Photography departments of RIPT, Jadavpur, were awarded a scholarship of Rs. 5,000 each. The cheques were presented by Shri Diptendu Chowdhury, former Principal, RIPT.
  • Photography Exhibition cum Contest: The best entries were judged by Shri Amit Das, eminent photographer, art critic, and multimedia artist. The top three participants were felicitated with mementos.
  • New Life Members: Five new life members joined RIPTAA this year, taking the total to 55. The new members were welcomed and felicitated.


Annual General Meeting

The post-lunch session was devoted to the Annual General Meeting of RIPTAA, where members discussed key organizational matters and future initiatives.

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Shri Apratim Mukerji, General Secretary, RIPTAA. He expressed gratitude to President Shri Surendra B. Dhote, dignitaries, sponsors, advertisers, and all participating members.

The program ended with the rendering of National Anthem by the members of RIPTAA.

The Regional Institute of Printing Technology Alumni Association was formed in the year 1986. Since then every student who graduates from this esteemed institution becomes an associate member of the association.
