





The Printers’ Day
Regional Institute of Printing Technology Alumni Association (RIPTAA) celebrated Printers’ Day in a grand manner at Vivekananda Hall, Jadavpur University (JU) on February 24, 2026. The event was inaugurated by Shri Surendra B Dhote, President of RIPTAA, and featured a Technical Seminar on ‘Printing Technology – Trends and Future’. The seminar was addressed by Shri Debarshi Ray, Director – Technical, BCCL (Times of India), who delivered an engaging presentation on the latest trends and future prospects in printing technology.
Shri Apratim Mukerji, Secretary of RIPTAA, introduced the speaker to a packed audience comprising students and teachers from RIPT, Alumni members, and other well-wishers of RIPTAA. Shri Ray’s lucid audio-visual presentation enlightened the audience on the subject, and he also responded to relevant questions from the audience. Students who correctly answered questions posed by the speaker were awarded prizes.
The programme concluded with a warm felicitation of the speaker and an interaction with the Executive Body Members of RIPTAA.
RIPTAA brings together alumni, students, and industry professionals to encourage knowledge sharing, professional interaction, and long-term engagement with the printing and graphic technology community.
The Regional Institute of Printing Technology Alumni Association was formed in the year 1986. Since then every student who graduates from this esteemed institution becomes an associate member of the association.
